The Prime Algorithm has been implemented in NEAR Intents and is currently being tested.
Implementation is close to completion, with ongoing optimisation work remaining. The next major step is bringing the Prime Algorithm into the production solver so that all partners automatically benefit from the upgrade.
Path splitting is the major algorithmic effort to optimally break a quote into multiple parts and route them through many pools — minimising slippage and improving end-user outcomes.
Originally scoped for six months, research has gone extremely well. We have created a new algorithm called the Prime Algorithm.
Research is complete and implementation is now underway. This is well and truly on track.
The goal of the path splitting work is to create an algorithm that unifies all liquidity sources across chains and finds the most optimised path for a swap — even if it means breaking the swap into multiple parts to ensure the most optimal path and price.
