Native Bitcoin Integration Update 05/01/2026
Overview
We are initiating a native integration with the Bitcoin blockchain to bring our core suite of services to the BTC ecosystem. This integration is being developed in collaboration with Lydia Labs, utilizing their Radfi technology to implement the necessary infrastructure.
Key Features
Once completed, this integration will enable the following capabilities natively on Bitcoin:
- Native Swaps: Users will be able to swap assets and receive native Bitcoin directly to their BTC addresses without intermediary steps.
- Money Markets: Implementation of lending and borrowing markets directly on the Bitcoin blockchain.
- Extended Token Support: Support for Runes, BRC-20, and other Bitcoin-native token standards.
- Cross-Chain Parity: Bringing the full functionality available on our EVM and Layer 2 integrations to the Bitcoin network.
Technical Scope & Timeline
- Development Complexity: Unlike standard EVM integrations, this requires a significant infrastructure build to ensure full compatibility with the Bitcoin blockchain's architecture.
- Start Date: Development is scheduled to begin in mid-January 2026.
- Estimated Duration: We envision a three-month development cycle to reach completion.
